We have an exciting part-time opportunity for a Service Quality Adviser to join our Network Quality & Compliance Team. This role is part of the team that supports Age UK and its network of local and national partners to provide consistent, high-quality services to the public. The team is responsible for ensuring that training and guidance is available on how to run high quality services and supports individual network members with quality challenges and non-compliance.
The provision of Information and Advice (I&A) and our quality standards for these services, are a key element of this role. The successful post holder will have demonstrable experience of managing or supervising an I&A service and ideally, a broader understanding or experience of quality assurance and delivering services to older people.
This is a part-time, home-based opportunity, working 21 hours per week. Salary advertised is FTE. (Actual salary range for 21 hours per week - Actual £20,406 - £22,554)

Must haves:

About the Role
We are looking to appoint an Internal Communications Officer who will play a critical role in developing and shaping the organisation’s internal communications for the staff of the Connexional Team.

You will be able to articulate messages clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally, that are tailored to various internal audiences. Exceptional writing, editing and proof-reading skills for a range of communication channels are a must for this role.

Age UK Sutton has been commissioned to run a Dementia Support service within the London Borough of Sutton. As a Dementia Adviser you will provide comprehensive, person-centred support and access to information, working closely with other Dementia Advisers and teams across the organisation.
You will work to empower both people living with Dementia and their carers, supporting them to maximise their quality of life. From diagnosis and throughout their journey you will provide access to information and support, help clients to make informed decisions and provide a consistent point of contact. You'll also help to reduce isolation and increase social inclusion by providing opportunities for peer support and raise awareness and understanding of Dementia.
This role is community based working both at our offices and across the Sutton Borough, with some working from home. Supporter Engagement is one of the most important teams that is central to the success of Alzheimer’s Society. The function of the team is to manage multi-channel communications with our supporters, both inbound and outbound. The team manage emails, telephone calls and social media interactions and is part of the wider Supporter Experience Department.
The team has a very bespoke tone of voice when managing the high volume of interactions but has the autonomy to manage their own workday within guidelines. In this role you will be the first point of contact delivering an excellent supporter experience to members of the public and Alzheimer’s Society’s supporters. You will have enriching one to one conversations across different channels, including phone, email and Social Media. Through answering queries and proactively delivering exceptional levels of stewardship you will build rapport and inspire supporters and potential supporters about our work, whilst maintaining accurate system records that reflect and enhance the supporter experience.

Senior Helpline Advisor

In this role you will provide immediate and short term intervention via the telephone to children and young people impacted by crime and manage a small Triage team.
Position: 5511 Senior Helpline Advisor (internal title Senior Triage and Early Interventions Officer- Children and Young People)
Location: London/hybrid
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours. Monday- Friday, working on a shift pattern of 9am-5pm / 10am-6pm / 11am-7pm (Flexible working available)
Contract: Fixed term until 16th January 2025
Salary: Up to £28,300 per annum (includes FTE £24,500 per annum plus £2,800 per annum London Weighting Allowance and up to £1,000 per annum Line Manager Allowance).

The Role
As a Senior Triage Officer - Children and Young people’s Service, you will be:
- Managing a team delivering initial telephone-based support and an effective triage service to those affected by crime
- Responsible for line managing a team including recruitment, performance management and monitoring, support and guidance
- Act as the first point of contact for clients referred in to the service, ensuring that comprehensive impact and risks assessments are completed and a tailored response to each client’s needs is provided.
- Accountable for the performance of the team including maintaining performance information, using outcomes to identify effective practice and ensuring compliance with national standards, codes of practice and all legislative requirements
- Be the point of escalation for complex and sensitive cases and queries, whilst providing support, advice and guidance to the team
- Managing and monitoring workloads across the team, promoting effective communication channels to ensure best practice
About You
You will need to have the following essential skills:
- The ability to undertake impact and risks assessments and identify appropriate support
- Excellent telephone and IT skills required to use a database and undertake all administrative and reporting requirements
- Experience of safeguarding issues and legislation relating to both child protection and vulnerable adults
- Knowledge and understanding of the impact of crime on those who experience it, a working knowledge of the criminal justice system
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, sharing, coaching others.
- Good communication skills, both verbally & written and ability to demonstrate empathy
